Jr Miners Shut out Bulldogs

The Jr Miners locked up 1st place in the Sid Rowe division and home ice advantage through the first 2 rounds of the playoffs with a 6-0 Shut out win over the Antigonish Bulldogs.
In Glace Bay at the Bay Plex Recreation Centre, Nick Walsh stopped all 15 shots fired at his goal by the Antigonish Farmers Mutual Jr. Bulldogs to earn the shutout win, 6 – 0
The Miners spread out their goal scoring over six players; Shawn Neville, Tristan Unsworth, Chris Ross, Ryan Bursey, Drew Wilcox and Harry Levatt.
Brandon MacDonald recorded the loss for the Bulldogs despite stopping 58 of 64 shots on his goal by the Miners.
The Miners will again see action next Sunday night in Trenton when they visit the Pictou Scotians.
Miners will play their final regular season Home game on Saturday Feb 14, 7:30 pm at the Bayplex against the Strait Pirates.
