Miners jump out to a 2 game lead

Sunday in Antigonish, the Junior Miners used a balanced offence in a 5-2 victory over the Bulldogs.
Ryan Jackson, Chris Osmond, Dylan Bork, Kenzie Dowie and Ryan Bursey all hit the back of the net for Glace Bay in the triumph. Nick Walsh posted the win in goal, making 17 saves.
The Junior Miners opened the series at home with a convincing 9-4 win at the Bayplex on Saturday.
Tristan Unsworth led the way with two goals and two assists, while Harry LeVatte, Bursey, Dowie, Sam Johnson, Patrick Byrne, Shaun Neville and Kyle Peck added singles.
Scott MacDonald made 18 stops in the Glace Bay goal. The Junior Miners fired 65 shots at the Antigonish net.
Game 3 of the series goes this coming Saturday at the Bayplex at 7:30 p.m., followed by Game 4 on Sunday in Antigonish.
