Jr. Miners acquire Jason Johnson from Pirates

The Jr. Miners have aquired Strait Pirates defenseman/ assisntant captain Jason Johnson Wednesday in a deal with the Port Hawkesbury based hockey club. Johnson a product of the Cape Breton West Islanders Major Midgets, spent the past 2 seasons anchoring the Pirates blue line while talling 16 goals, 24 assists for 40 points over 45 games span with the Pirates. The Jr. Miners also obtained the Pirates 7th spot in this years waiver draft. In return the Jr. Miners sent forward William Fitzsimmons and their 2022 waiver draft pick to the Pirates.
