The Battle of Cape Breton begins this Saturday 13 November at the BayPlex in Glace Bay when the Miners cross island rivals, Strait Pirates, come to town.
The Battle of Cape Breton begins this Saturday 13 November at the BayPlex in Glace Bay when the Miners cross island rivals, Strait Pirates, come to town. The Miners will be honoring #12 Johnny Carabin, who passed away in the summer. Carabin started his Jr. B career as a member of the former Cape Breton Canadians and moved on to play his overage season with Strait Pirates last season.
The first of 3 meetings this month for these two clubs will begin on Saturday night at the BayPlex in Glace Bay for the Battle of Cape Breton. There is a long history of hockey between the teams of Glace Bay and the Strait area, and this will be no different.
The teams will meet each other in battle no less than 6 times over the course of the season this year and these games are sure to entertain.
Come out on Saturday night at 7:45 to the BayPlex, to support your local team in some great Junior Hockey action, you will not go home disapointed.
