Miners Play Host to Antigonish Bulldogs

The Glace Bay Jr. Miners have come out since the Christmas break only managing to get 1 win within 7 games. The Miners have 5 games left on tap for the month of February including a tussle with the Antigonish Bulldogs.
The Glace Bay Jr. Miners have come out since the Christmas break only managing to get 1 win within 7 games. The Miners have 5 games left on tap for the month of February including a tussle with the Antigonish Bulldogs. The Miners took on the Bulldogs this past Saturday and fell to a 5-2 loss. But the only team who the Miners have been able to defeat since the Christmas break were the Bulldogs which took place in Antigonish on January 21st.
Throughout the organization, injuries, school and work commitments have limited the Miners giving them short benches for the past few games, but things are looking good for the Miners as a full squad is to be expected to play against the Antigonish Bulldogs this Saturday, 7:45 pm at the Bayplex in Glace Bay. Corey Langlois is expected to be back in the lineup for the Miners for this weekends battle although assistant captain Brett McCarron is still listed day-to-day with an upper body injury.
Miners forward Daniel Brown who was out of action for quite some time had two stellar games for the Miners the past weekend and with his legs under him this weekend, the Miners look to have a big game from #61 against the Bulldogs again this Saturday. The Miners are only ahead of the Pictou County Scotians with 1 point for the fourth place in the Sid Rowe Division which is good enough for a playoff spot.
With the Miners pushing towards keeping their current playoff spot, every game and point counts a large amount and the Miners look to start their push towards the playoffs with a big win against the Antigonish Bulldogs. Come out and support the push to the playoffs for the Miners this Saturday!
