Miners Sign Taite Paul

Glace Bay, NS, August 4, 2011 - The Glace Bay Junior Miners have signed rugged defenseman Taite Paul, the team announced on Thursday.
Glace Bay, NS, August 4, 2011 - The Glace Bay Junior Miners have signed rugged defenseman Taite Paul, the team announced on Thursday.
Paul, who hails from Eskasoni, split last season between the Miramichi Timberwolves and Miramichi Mainiacs of the New Brunswick Jr. Hockey League. During Taite's 3 seasons in the MJAHL he has accumulated 14 goals, 21 assists for 35 points in 114 games while also serving 362 penalty minutes. He also has some experience in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League suiting up with the Moncton Wildcats for 2 games during the 2008-2009 season.
"We are very happy to acquire Taite as he adds size to our backend." said Miners General Manager Jordan Evasuk-MacDonald. "Taite is a mobile defenseman with skill but plays a physical game. We feel he will play an important role on our hockey team and are excited to have him as part of our Organization" added Evasuk-MacDonald.
