Miners Looking Good

2011-09-07

Even though we are still in the pre-season and have not yet finalized our roster, the Glace Bay jr Miners of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League are looking like they will be a tough team to compete against.

If the second on ice session is anything indication, the team will be a strong one this year. With most players from last years squad on the ice and numerous others looking to crack the team, it is going to leave some tough choices in the end.

Miners GM Jordan Evasuk-MacDonald has advised there are still 4 or 5 players attending Jr A club try-outs and we may see some of them in our jersey this year, as well as new players are contacting the team on a daily basis as they get settled in at Cape Breton University.

The 38 skaters and goaltenders that were on the ice tonight all have shown a lot of skill, determination, and heart.  It should be a good year with lots to look forward to for the fans.
More to come on this years training camp as it becomes available.
