Red and White Intersquad Game

The Glace Bay Miners player their Red and White intrasquad game last evening at the Canada Games Complex giving the players the opportunity to show what they have in a game type atmosphere in front of the team staff. Team White took the game by a slim margin over Red.
The game gave the Team Staff a lot of useful knowledge and will allow for the next round of cuts to be made. Both teams played hard but in the end, we only have so many spots avialable. The team should be down to 26 - 28 players this weekend going into our two exhibition games versus the Strait Pirates which will see mostly rookies and 2nd year guys in the lineup, after which we will be able to finalize our roster going into next weekends season opening 2 game road trip.
On a side note, goalie Scott MacDonald returned from a great Jr A. camp with Bridgewater where he was one of the final goalies released.
