A late start in Brookfield had the game delayed by about 30 minutes and saw the Brookfield Elks double the Glace Bay Junior Miners 4-2. The teams played a scoreless first period with the shot clock showing 21-7 Brookfield.
In the second the Elks jumped into a 2-0 lead on goals by Ryan Blaauwendraat and Matt Shannon.
