Elks Defeat Miners

At the Bay Plex in Glace Bay the Brookfield Elks edged the Glace Bay Junior Miners 4-3 to move into a tie with the Sackville Blazers for 4^th place in the division....

Captain Darcy Gillis with two goals led the Elks while Alex Farquhar added a single plus 3 assists. Matt Shannon also picked up a single marker for Brookfield who now improve to
6-5-1.

Cal MacNeil, Ryan MacDougall and Brett McCarron replied for the Junior Miners who now sit at 1-10-2 just ahead of the Pictou County Scotians, who are winless so far this season.

CJ White picked up his 5^th win for the Elks while Keith Boon was tagged with the loss. The Miners have lost their last four games by a single goal.
