Junior Miners Upset Blues

In Springhill the Glace Bay Junior Miners were led by speedy center Chris Ross who picked up four points on a pair of goals to go with his two assists.
RJ Barrett, Ryan MacDougall, Brett McCarron, Kieran Fogarty and Sean Ferguson all added singles for Glace Bay. Corey Langlois and Ferguson also added a pair of assists.
Jordie Shaw led the Blues with his 21st, 22nd and 23rd goals of the season and a share of the league leading scoring with team mate Zach Carson each with 36 points.
Scott MacDonald kicked out 33 shots for the win while Neil Kelly was tagged with the loss.
The Miners led 1-0 after one; the Blues held a slim 4-3 lead after two then the Miners exploded for four in the third.
