Pirates Edge Miners

In Port Hawkesbury the Strait Pirates and Glace Bay Junior Miners engaged themselves in a scoring war with the Pirates coming out on top with an 8-6 win ending the Miners 4 game winning streak.
Matt Miller and Lucas Eshleman each led the Pirates with a pair with Miller also picking up an assist. Singles went to Adrian Cristiano, David Greencorn, Americo Pino and Dale MacIntosh. Nick Allard picked up three assists.
Scoring for Glace Bay were RJ Barrett, Corey Langlois, Kenny MacInnis, Cal MacNeil, Kieran Fogarty and Jordan Langlois. Barrett also had two assists.
The Pirates led 4-2 after one; 6-4 after two and the teams traded a pair of goals in the third.
Brennan Laite picked up the win for the Pirates who improve to 11-4-0-2.
