Miners Explode In 3rd To Beat Bulldogs

In Antigonish the Glace Bay Junior Miners exploded for five goals in the third period to hand the Antigonish Bulldogs their 5th loss of the season.
Seven separate players handled the scoring for Glace Bay. Sam Johnson, Brett Simmons, Ryan MacDougall, Brett McCarron, Cal MacNeil, Chris Ross and Sean Ferguson. Dave McCarthy, Chris Alguire, Ricky Chisholm and Tim MacDougall replied for Antigonish.
The team were tied at one after one; tied at two after two then the Junior Miners out scored the Bulldogs 5-2 in the third.
Justin Brewer picked up the win for Glace Bay while Brandon MacDonald was charged with the lost.
Final shots were 26-21 Glace Bay. Glace Bay, who have started slow, have now begun to get things together and have picked up their 6th win of the year.
