Junior Miners Defeat Blazers

In Glace Bay the Junior Miners were again led by newcomer Colin MacKinnon who had a pair of goals giving him four in this first two games.
RJ Barrett and Jordan Langlois picked up singles. Captain Brett McCarron added a pair of assists as the Miners continue to pick away in the win column after a slow start.
For Sackville Payton Tench, captain Justin Keizer and newcomer Alex Berry provided the scoring for the visitors. Clay Townsend and Andrew Stewart each picked up a pair of assists.
The Miners led 2-0 after one; tied 3-3 after two before Langlois potted the winner with just over two minutes to play in the third.
Scott MacDonald picked up his 7th win on the year stopping 30 of 33 shots while Alex Newman was a giant in the Sackville net handling 55 of 59 shots.
