Miners Down Ducks

In Glace Bay the Jr. Miners needed goals from Tyler Pyke, Jordan Langlois and Brett Simmons to defeat the Fred Fox Divisional leader Bay Ducks 3-1. Pyke also picked up an assist. Langlois’ goal moves his back into a tie with Pirates’ rookie forward Jarrett Martell for the scoring lead each with 15 points.

 Alex Farquhar’s goal, with just three minutes to play in the game, spoiled Jake McKendry’s bid for a shutout. The win gets the 2^nd place Jr. Miners to within two points of the idle Strait Pirates in the Sid Rowe Division.
