Penguins Drop Miners

On Saturday night at the BAYplex, the visiting East Hants Penguins snapped their five-game losing streak as they defeated the Glace Bay Junior Miners 7-5.
In Glace Bay, Brad Donaldson, Connor Sullivan and Marc Thibodeau all picked up a pair of tallies with defenseman Mike McGahey adding a single for East Hants. Rookie Connor Beck, who is playing his best hockey to date, chipped in with 4 assists.
Chris Ross with two while Jordan Langlois, Mitch MacDougall and Zach Walsh handled the Jr. Miners scoring.
The Penguins led 3-1 after one; 6-3 after two with the Jr. Miners making it close with two goals in the last two minutes.
In all there were 8 power play goals scored in the game.
Jason Ellis picked up the win for East Hants while Scott MacDonald was tagged with the loss.
