Junior Miners Lead Series 2-0

Action resumed Sunday night in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League playoffst, with an all Sid Rowe Division Semi-Final action. In Antigonish, the Glace Bay Junior Miners took a 2-0 series lead on the Bulldogs with a 4-3 win

At the Antigonish Arena the teams traded first period goals by Kevin Cormier for Glace Bay and Bobby Hamer for the Bulldogs.
 
Shots in the period favoured Glace Bay at 9-8.
 
In the second the Junior Miners fired 2 unanswered goals to take a 3-1 to the dressing rooms after forty minutes. Sean Ferguson from Tyler Pyke then Ryan Bursey from Kraig Pasher.
 
Shots favoured the Bulldogs 10-9 for a 2-period total of 18 apiece.
 
The Bulldogs managed to fight back with two to tie the game at three when Seamus Boyle finished with David McCarthy then Steven MacGillivray from Fraser White. Then with four and a half minutes to play Sean Ferguson notched an unassisted, power play goal to put the Miners ahead for good. 
 
Jacob McKendry picked up his second win of the series for Glace Bay while Keagan Butler was tagged with the loss.
 
Final shots were 28 apeice.
 
Game #3 will be back at the BAYplex in Glace Bay on Tuesday February 26th with a 7:30 pm puckdrop.
