Last seasons QMJHL Screaming Eagles deffenceman, John Micheal Walsh, will help to guard the bluline for the Miners along with a great core of returning players and rookies alike, including the NSJHL's Top Deffenceman and Miners Team Captain, Brett Simmons.
The Miners, last seasons regular schedule Champions, have spent the last month on the ice and will look very similar with the like of high scoreing forwards Jordan Langois, Sean Ferguson and Chris Ross along with a great core of retunees plus the addition of some very talented rookies from Northside, Glace Bay, and everywhere in between. 2013/14 will also see the return of a gritty forward in Sam Johnson who knows how to find the net and works well in the corners.
The Miners are aiming high coming into this season.....anything less than the league Championship will be a disapointement.
