Scott MacDonald gets the Shutout

At the Bay Plex in Glace Bay overager Jordan Langlois potted a single tally and assisted two more while Scott MacDonald kicked out all 26 Pictou shots for the shutout, in registering the Miners’ 3rd straight win.

The Jr. Miners led 2-0 after twenty minutes on goals by Langlois and Dylan Bork. Andrew MacPhee, Sam Johnson, Drew Wilcox and John-Michael Walsh all collected single assists.
 
Shots in the period favoured the Jr. Miners 16-9.
 
The Jr. Miners added another pair in the middle period. First, Sam Johnson from Andrew MacPhee and Jordan Langlois then John-Michael Walsh, a short-handed goal, from Langlois and Mark Gouthro.
 
The Jr. Miners held a huge 19-8 shot advantage in the period for a 2-period total of 35-17.
 
The teams played a scoreless third period.
 
Scott MacDonald picked up the shutout win while Mitchell Donlevy was charged with the loss facing 49 Glace Bay shots.
 
Final shots were 49-26 Glace Bay.
 
The Jr. Miners sit in top spot of the Sid Rowe Division and the  at NSJH League 4-0-0-2 for 10 points, while the Scotians remain in 4th at 1-2-0-1.

​The Jr Miners will again be in action on the road next weekend, Oct 18 vs 
the East Hantz Penguins and again on Sat Oct 19 vs the Brookfield Elks.
