Miners Sorrow Blues then set the Blazers on Fire

The Glace Bay Jr Miners extended their winning streak to 6 games over the weekend and continue to top the league standings with 27 points after 16 games played.

Action, Friday night in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League in Springhill seen the Glace Bay Jr. Miners continue to rule the Cumberand County Blues.
Last weekend, in Glace Bay, they beat the Blues 6-0 and 9-4 then again Friday night at the Richard Calder Arena 6-2. 
Andrew MacPhee led the way for the Jr. Miners with 2 goals and an assist. John Michael Walsh pitched in with a single to go with 2 assists while Chris Ross, Sean Ferguson and Zach Walsh all added singles.

Jon Tattrie and Steven Whittle replied for the Blues who were out-shot 51-19.
The Jr. Miners led 3-0 after the first twenty; 5-1 after two with each adding a single in the third.
Nick Walsh picked up his 7th win while Jessie Cox took the loss.

At the Bay Plex in Glace Bay, during a penalty filled game, the Jr. Miners extended their win streak to 6 straight wins and a firm hold on top spot in the Sid Rowe Division with 27 points, which is also tops in the league.

Drew Wilcox  potted a pair of tallies for Glace Bay with Sean Ferguson, Chris Ross, Tyler Pyke, Ryan Bursey and Dylan Bork all adding singles. Pyke also chipped in with 2 assists.
Shane Boudreau, Adam Brown, Andrew Skinner and Jordan Keizer replied for the Blazers who were out-shot 55-26.
Glace Bay led 3-1 after one; 5-2 after two with each team scoring a pair in the third.
Scott MacDonald collected his 5th win of the year while a very busy Alex Reynolds took the loss.
