Jr Miners continue to win as action resumes after New Year

Action finally resumed Saturday night in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League after a province-wide snowstorm forced the cancellation of Friday night’s action. At the Bay Plex in Glace Bay the Jr. Miners doubled the Antigonish Bulldogs 6-3
In Glace Bay the Jr. Miners picked up their league-leading 17 win of the season on goals by Ryan Bursey, Chris Ross, JM Walsh, Brett Simmons, Sean Ferguson and Lincoln Bradley.
Fraser White, Colby VanOirschot and Tim MacDougall all scored for Antigonish.
Glace Bay led 1-0 after one; 2-1 after two then added 3 in the third.
Scott MacDonald picked up his 7th win of the year while Brandon MacDonald took the loss.
Final shots were 40-35 Glace Bay.
