At the Bay Plex in Glace Bay the league-leading Glace Bay Jr. Miners picked up their 24th win with a 4-2 win over the East Hants Penguins.
In Glace Bay Sean Ferguson, Brett Simmons, Lincoln Bradley and Zach Walsh provided the offence for the Jr. Miners as they skated to a 4-2 win at home.
Marc Thibodeau and Connor Currie replied for East Hants.
The teams were tied at one after one; 3-1 Glace Bay after two with both teams adding a single in the third.
Scott MacDonald picked up his 10th win while Jason Ellis took the loss.
