Jr Miners Complete the Sweep for Redemption

Andrew MacPhee and Lincoln Bradley notched the goals with Kyran Fogarty, Scott MacDonald, Tyler Pyke and Sam Johnson all picking up the assists.
The Jr. Miners controlled the shot clock at 9-3.
In the second playoff scoring leader JM Walsh gave the Jr. Miners a 3-0 lead from Jordan Langlois and Brett Simmons. Then with just under 32 seconds to play the Pirates reeled off two quick goals, one with only a single second showing on the clock, when Kenzie Dowie finished from Troy Disipio and Matt Morgan then Mitch Balmas from David Greencorn and Eric MacKinnon.
Shots in the period favoured the Pirates 12-11 for a two-period total of 21-14.
In the third Sam Johnson, with an empty netter, iced the win for the Jr. Miners with Mark Gouthro drawing the lone assist.
Scott MacDonald picked up the win for the Jr. Miners while Marcus Otmar was tagged with the loss.
Final shots were 28-20 Glace Bay.
